In this 6-week Life Group series called "Compelled," we will be hearing from people just like you, who heard the call of Jesus and willingly accepted the responsibilities that came with that call. You will hear from people as their lives were changed. They will share what evangelism looks like in their lives and why they feel so compelled to share the truth of Jesus' amazing love and power in their lives. They will share some of the fears they faced, and how the Holy Spirit brought a peace to their souls, giving them the courage to take steps of action.
Through these stories, you will hear first-hand how Jesus is still in the business of extending His kingdom through "unschooled, ordinary" people, just like He did with Peter and John in Acts 4.

But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something. The Beatitudes are His recipe for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on the earth as it is in heaven. He walked eight hours in the rain, mile after mile, carrying a tire. He just sang the whole time, praising Jesus. He always searches for the one lost coin.
We will be judged according to the love we have put into our work. Truly we are filled with inexpressible joy knowing we dwell in the shelter of the Most High God. We rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
He is our refuge and our fortress; we put our trust in Him. He covers us with His wings of love, and we find safety in Him. I have given my life for love. It is joy unspeakable and full of glory. It is the Beatitudes manifest through your life. Missions are when you have the love of God so that He can demonstrate His very life and nature through you.
They tend to become quieter, and even to withdraw. Under pressure, they avoid conflict just as predictably as we fighters seek it out.
Instead, they often quietly simmer. Their resentment slowly builds and eventually gets expressed passive-aggressively, or all at once, explosively, much later. Fight and flight are equally dysfunctional the vast majority of the time. The first key to managing triggers is to become aware, sooner, when they begin to arise.
The signs are usually physical: a flushing in the face, a tightening in the chest, a rising heartbeat, the desire to strike out or withdraw. If you tend to flee, stay engaged.
Take a few deep breaths, in through your nose to a count of three, out through your mouth to a count of six. Feel your feet, to ground yourself.
As your body calms down, your emotions will follow suit and your mind will begin to clear. We can influence our own behavior.
